President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won re-election according to the country’s Supreme Election Council. With 100 percent of ballot boxes opened in the run-off, Erdogan has 52.18 percent of the vote, and challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu has 47.82 percent.

Turkish voters have also cast their ballot in order to choose who will represent them in parliament, determined through proportional representation. Erdoğan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) was the biggest party at a preliminary 35.6 percent of the vote, followed by Kılıçdaroğlu’s Republican People’s Party (CHP) with a preliminary 25.3 percent.
